Make Money From Instagram (90 Minutes A Day) (Ep. 338)
Переглядів 4,6 тис.21 день тому
For the longest time, we thought that while Instagram had a ton of users, it was a bit useless for business owners because you can't really put links anywhere when you post. But it looks like we were wrong. Today's guest, Sammie Ellard-King, has built a successful, growing online business in a very competitive personal finance niche, mostly from Instagram reels. And in this episode, Gael dives ...

Great podcast very informative, Thank You!
Thanks! What teleprompter were you using?
Elgato Prompter
You nailed it with the whole shiny object thing. I really want to become a content creator but I’m very aware it can quick become more of a job than an enjoyable pursuit.
guys please do a course on YT, facebook, facebook ads, IG, email, creating courses etc!
Not fair. You already had a huge audience before. Its like Kardashian opening a 2nd Instagram channel then bragging how fast it grows...
Great video but a bit misleading because you already have huge brand which makes everything much easier.
Great to see you guys pivot! But a huge part of your success on this new channel can be attributed to the cross-promotion you guys do. Your results would look a lot different if you did not have the Authority Hacker base/brand behind this channel. I would love to see a UA-cam case-study from you guys in a niche outside of Internet Marketing. Now that will be epic!
Yeah we're all about building on top of a solid foundation to help us grow faster, that's what so great about YT. I will say that YT and other social platforms have gotten a lot easier for low subscriber channels that create great content to get big hits from early videos.
gael we need a course from you on all this non blogging stuff
Taking notes right now! This is gold. I’ve been playing around with posting videos on UA-cam and I’m now inspired to keep doing it. Definitely felt a bit of UA-cam fatigue last week though, but you guys just inspired me to continue, hah
22:52, Neil Patel, Thank me later...
ha ha
It's all about delivering watch hours to UA-cam at this point. At least this is what I'm seeing in a recent channel I created. It's been 5 weeks and it has already made 75000 views and 2500 watch hours. Subscribers are pouring slowly though, only 243 so far.

Can these work without doing video?
Can these work without doing video?
so is the two step opt in only legally required in the US?
I don’t think it’s legally required in the US but it is in Germany for example.
@@AuthorityHacker Hey guys! If I want to reach a US/UK audience but I'm from Asia, what can I do? It seems Sammie thinks it affects the audience reach if the person posting is from a different country. Will it be enough if I just make sure that the content is aligned towards attracting the US/UK audience or will I need to do all the VPN/proxy shenanigans to achieve that?
Interesting video guys. And thanks for sharing this. But I do feel like it's quite a scummy way of using other people's pictures for your own benefit. Just because you credit them, doesn't make it ok to take other people's images and just hope they don't find out. Another thing, using them on your website is 1 thing, but when people share them from your site to platforms like Pinterest, you get into a whole other legal situation. I'm not a lawyer nor expert on this, but I wouldn't be surprised if this ever comes back and haunt you. Especially since you're getting that much traffic.
Très bonne vidéo Gael!

Thank you so much for this video. Super helpful and well-presented. Your time and effort is most appreciated!
What was the instagram DM tool he mentioned somewhere around the middle of the convo?
Manychat
Please make it a series! Super helpful to learn from real life examples. Funny that you mentioned Karin (the last site) because I actually have bought 2 of her courses in the past. She has a pretty active and supportive community too, and she shows up to engage which is not what most course creators do. Even in some high ticket courses I bought the actual person who sold it never shows up.
Great suggestion!
That was awesome! I've abandoned my insta for years. This interview is making me want to get back on there.
could it simply be the user finishes the journey in amazon so that final click closes there. Meaning it doesnt care for the steps and just offers the amazon listing. So its user journey never sets foot but clearly only a gateway
Amazing interview. Really enjoyed watching this kind of deep-dive exchange between Gael and Sammie. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I saw the title and didn’t think I’d be interested in this one but had a long drive so stuck it on anyway… It turned out to be an amazing value packed show. I had to re-listen to the last 30 minutes a few times to take it all in!
Please tl;dr this. I don't have time to watch movies this long, much less an IG video.
Nice job drilling down on the specifics! Great interview & Guest!
Much appreciated!
Great episode
@tonyhill Insightful video. Any WordPress recommendations for maximizing Ad revenue (such as the one you use with gallery type posts that has multiple slides and more room for ad placement) ???
Would really like for you guys to do a video for choosing a niche with this new business model - I assume it would be quite different than a pure affiliate seo play when you are building funnels. Thanks.
I think niche selection aligns a lot more with what you’re already good at / what communities you’re a part of already. Or you can simply partner with people who have a skill you can help them monetize which is some of what we are exploring on our end. We’re the marketing specialists, we bring marketing to topic experts and help them monetize their skills and share the profit of that. There are tons of people who have something people want but have no idea how to promote it and make it a real business.
My favorite part was when he said "excuse my french" to the french guy after using profanity. I lol'd.
😬
Haha Gail I’m the first viewer- been watching you a one time now❤
You're the best!
Fair, however he does show his face, if he was not to and make it a faceless brand would it work?
There are plenty of faceless channels around that are doing quite well. Picturefit and Coldfusion are 2 of my favorites.
Its really great podcast. I really enjoy it.
Thanks for listening
This is quite great information you have delivered. Thanks a lot!
Since 2005? On Pinterest, and we talking only about 1 M monthly visits? Or am I getting it wrong?
really like the idea that at the end the editing guy show up , that is so fun to watch.
great insight... 3 Kind of hook to optimize : Visual hook, Audio Hook, and text hook... often times, we SEO only do text hook on our content, if we also focus on visual hook on the page, it may will also drive more engagement and dwell time on the site...
Note on posting location, for sure TikTok is really sensitive to this. Your content will be distributed initially based on the sim card country of origin, VPNs won't change that. Because of that your engagement will be atrocious. You can climb out of this hole, but it takes a lot of time. Tested it few months ago and maybe something changed since then, so before jumping in look for more info on how this works now.
Excellent interview! The format style worked well, enjoyed the conversation and I learned a lot from both of you. I'll definitely be watching it a few more times.😀👍
Very cool.. I’ve always wondered how people make money with instagram beyond just doing brand sponsorships.
Thanks for tuning in 🎉
@@upthegainsmoney for sure, and thanks for freely sharing your tips and strategies.
Immense value in this one boys, thanks!
now I have to watch this 5 times (at least) again and again ...
That’s what we like to hear - more videos on it on my page 🙏

Great interview! Lots of practical tips.
Thank you for the great video.👏🏻
Thanks so much for having me on Gael 🙏🙏🙏
great valuable stuff!!!
If I where it make it a faceless brand would it work? 1-10?
@@0deer_0 theres 1000s of successful faceless channels out there. The same principals apply - target audience and dynamic / engaging content - face on or faceless

@@jonjones8827 VPNs don't work mate in my experience. I would suggest getting someone in those countries to do the posting for you if you're doing it long term.

SUCH a great interview! Amazing job interviewing, and making sure everything was digestable, and also giving space and genuinely trying to understand and see the value of what Koray brings. I think it actually painted a more holistic picture of him than what is sometimes out there, where semantic seo is his backbone, but he's after the rankings just like all of us doing SEO. And also you for clearly coming in doubtful, but never letting either side be closed off. POWERFUL contribution to this arena!
